Marietta, GA maternity photography, Casey McMinn Howard with Casey McMinn Photography, has all the tips for what you should pack in your hospital bag for when baby arrives! Today we will talk specifically about what your partner should pack in their bag. Check out yesterday’s blog post (below) to see what mom should pack in her bag for her and the baby.

Make sure your partner has these items packed in their hospital bag:

  • a couple changes of clothes
  • toiletries: The hospital provides a toiletry bag for moms, but not for partners, so make sure your partner has all toiletries packed
  • prescription medication
  • phone chcarger
  • snacks: It is especially good for your partner to have snacks since the hospital doesn’t provide them with meals, like mom. The cafeteria and a couple fast food restaurants are available in the hospital, but snacks are good to have, just in case it’s late at night or the wee hours of the morning, when the cafeteria and restaurants aren’t open.
  • blanket and pillow: This was mentioned in my previous blog post about what mom and baby should have in their bags, but I’ll stress it again…bring an extra blanket and pillow with you guys. It will keep your partner more comfortable. I also remember feeling really hot after having my 3rd child (thanks hormones!), so, we kept the room really cold the first night. Your partner will be happy you guys packed an extra blanket so they don’t freeze out all night!

As a reminder, make sure your bags are packed and ready to go by about 37 weeks in your pregnancy. You’ll be glad you had them ready if your baby comes early. My first came 2 weeks early in the middle of the night. I can only imagine my panic if I woke up to my water breaking and I didn’t have my bags packed!

If you haven’t had a second to read about the high end, luxury experience at Casey McMinn Photography, take a look at my website. You’ll love your experience! You’ll leave the studio with prints in hand and have all your printing needs taken care of, because, let’s be honest, doing that on your own can be a huge task…especially with a sweet little newborn! https://caseymcminnphotography.com/details
