These are all questions almost everybody wants to know the answers to when inquiring about a luxury portrait session with Marietta, GA maternity and newborn photographer, Casey Howard of Casey McMinn Photography. While I will go over everything in detail with you, it’s always good to have a quick reference in case you need to look back over anything. So, here it is…the most common questions asked when booking a maternity or newborn portrait session at Casey McMinn Photography.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GET NEWBORN PORTRAITS TAKEN?

Newborn sessions are done within 5 – 14 days after baby’s birth. I put your due date on my calendar and once baby is born you’ll notify me. At that point we will schedule a day for you to come to the studio for your newborn shoot.

WHAT ARE SOME TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL NEWBORN SHOOT?

Just make sure you feed baby right before the shoot so they’re good and full. If baby likes a pacifier bring a couple of those as well. Make sure to bring any formula or breast milk in case we need to feed baby during the shoot. Other than that you don’t need to worry about anything else…I will take care of the rest. During the shoot I use a small heater and sound machine to create a warm, cozy environment for baby. If your baby likes pacifiers, I keep extras at the studio in case you forget yours.

What is the best thing to wear?

Solid color clothing pieces in lighter neutral tones are best. For inspiration check out the galleries on my website here.
