Sofia’s Cake Smash Session with Casey McMinn Photography
Sofia was an absolute delight to work with. She arrived at the studio with her parents, who were just as excited as she was for her first birthday milestone session. Sofia wore a selection of clothing, picked out by Casey, from the studio inventory. She looked absolutely adorable. We got some beautiful shots of the family, before we got started with the cake smash portion of the session.
Smashing the cake
At our Atlanta baby photography studio we set up a beautiful neutral background with balloons and floral decorations to make the photoshoot customized and festive. For Sofia’s session, her mom requested a classic and elegant girly theme. We also prepared a rustic and delicious cake for Sofia to smash. The cake was decorated with fresh flowers, hand selected by Casey, which caught Sofia’s attention right away.
As soon as Sofia saw the cake, she knew it was time to get messy. She sat down in front of the cake and began to explore it with her hands. Sofia was a bit hesitant at first, but once she realized it was edible, she dug right in. She squished the cake with her fingers, grabbed handfuls of frosting, and tasted every last bit.
As she smashed the cake, Casey snapped away, capturing every precious moment. Sofia’s parents were overjoyed watching their daughter have so much fun. They cheered her on as she played with the cake and captured the memories they will cherish forever.
Overall, Sofia’s first birthday milestone session was a huge success. Casey McMinn Photography did an excellent job capturing this precious moment in Sofia’s life, and her parents will treasure these memories forever. It was a fun and unforgettable experience, and Sofia enjoyed every minute of it.
